Joy of unmasking

On the stage of life, so many have got into their roles so well that they have really forgotton who they really are.
In the days of old, the actors wear masks to signify their roles. They are given specific scripts and have mastered every move in defined ways and directions so as to keep the whole show going, until they leave the stage. Whatever that might be really happening inside their being and psyche is put on hold.

In this new world that I have been for the past 3 months, I have oberved this stage of life from a very closed range. I have been much saddened that even in a Christian world and climate, God's people still feel the instinctive cue to act in a certain way. There's a lot of politeness, protocol and small christian talk that keeps a conversation going on at the surface for an uncomfortably short time. It's funny to sometimes just to wait to see who makes the move to get away from the awkwardness of a well-scripted polite exchange of social "ungrace". The end result of such an exchange is the hope that we will not meet the person again in a very long while to bear the pain of such deformed inhuman masquerading. In truth they have hearts that actually have so much treasures too unveil and offer to each other if only fear is overcome by true christian courage and love. On this day, I had a glimpse and a participation of two christian buddies, fully unmasked and listen to an unscripted, animated, joyful and uplifting interactions of hearts. It was thoroughly refreshing and cathartic for me as I joined in with loud happiness.

i will be leaving this world in a short time and a part of my heart will continue to bear the hope of divine breakthroughs in this community of God-lovers.
