A House of Treasure - Jesus had tea with us.

It was going to be some kind of a "proto-type" " out of the box" " let's see what comes out of it" "only 2 or 3 people needed to be a church" kind of a 'new way of doing church--cell group". The host was not ready to start attending church [ Sunday service ] but wants to get to know and experience more of Jesus and the Bible. So me, wife, another couple and host and son, and friend gathered for tea.
It was a house filled with beautiful art - drawings, art-furnitures, artifacts, antiques, arrangements; every wall, nook and corner was artistically created - so much to find out, to learn, to take in, so cozy - she made us feel very welcomed.
She felt very blessed to have " a friendly pastor and pastoress" to blessed her house by their presence - so she said. From 3. 30 pm - 7.30 pm, the time flies by so fast as we begin to uncover greater and more precious ' money cannot buy" treasures within each of our hearts. It wasn't "churchy" or "cellish":- we were just having a good afternoon chinese" sweet water" [ tong sui ] + english tea fellowship. But our sharing was real, deep, honest, unpretentious, daring, brave and at the end during prayer - teary - we all sense Jesus among us. We backed up our "freshly uncovered treasures" from the Word and show it is there. Thank you for opening your house and your heart to each other.
It was difficult to end, but we must come down from the mountain.

Though it is important to get people to church but it is equally important to reach out to people where the people are. The conviction comes from the Holy Spirit and the touch comes from a human. The question is are we conscious constantly of our humanness that influencing other?

Dear Anonymous,
I am not too sure of your question about our humanness >influencing others?
Have heard it said before that Christian should be spiritually natural and naturally spiritual. We should not create false dichotomy of what is spiritual and what is not.
After His Powerful Resurrection Jesus still ask for bread to eat in front of His disciples - Luke 24:43 and also to have breakfast with them on the shore of Galilee - John 21:5, 12-13. How unspiritual can He get in view of The Cross, the Great Commission and the Resurrection?
The Word became flesh and dwell among men. Does Jesus still wants to be incarnated in human flesh of His People?

=) Wud luv to share some resources regarding this matter. Incarnation- the stage of Christ in the flesh; Inclusion- the stage of Christ as the life giving spirit; Intensificaiton- the stage of Christ as the sevenfold intensified life-giving spirit.(John 1:14; 1 Cor 15:45b; Rev 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6 ) Am still seeking more about the intensifiation stage...

I agree with anonymous about reaching out to ppl where they are.

Am interested to know more about what anonymous meant in his last sentence...I believe there's truth in it.
