Empowered by love

Theme 2006: Empowered for the nations
As a community of God, FCC will seek to understand, experience and embody the love of God, believing that God's love is the most powerful force of transformation - individual, community and the world at large.
In a postmodern age, people who are hungry for true spirituality are turning away from
organised religion" that has lost its relevancy to real problems of our world. That is the reason that we cannot just be "church attenders" without intentionally desiring authentic Christ-centred relationships, giving birth to true Spirit-led missional community of love. In this community of God, we meet real people with real problems and questions. We may not have all the right answers but we must strive to remain genuine in our hunger to expereince and to embody God's love.
Fundamentally and in final analysis people are still hoping to experience love, joy and peace. Out of the three words, only love can be used as a noun or a verb. Very simply, because of the experience of God's love through Jesus Christ, we also learn to love and in doing so we are able to experience peace and joy. Make love a verb first then we shall harvest peace and joy.
In the midst of inadequate explanations of human pain and suffering in this world we can only be agents of God's love that can bring healing and a little heaven to earth. May the church continue to be fortaste of what heaven is like - where tears are wipe away.
People are still searching for truth and life. Only through Jesus as the Way, are we able to truly come to know the truth that sets free and experience life abundantly. [ John 14:6; John 10:10 ].
How is your love life lately?
