Praise the Lord.

I spent last Thursday and Friday with Khim [ the brother who went with me to SOL ] and his family at Kluang, JohorBharu. It was a wonderful feeling of being welcome like a long lost relative. Daniel, Khim's eldest son has grown to be a responsible. mature teenager and I got him to sing for me " Angel brought me here" which he was giving as a special at a wedding dinner. He has a very pleasant voice. I was very grateful how God is restoring this family for His Glory. Also met with George Koh and family [ wife Maya and son Gideon ]. WE had dinner at Khim's place. They are all quite active in the local church. Praise the Lord.
Khim came back to KL with me to do some personal ministry with his friends and relatives. The past few days we had opportunity to visit & minister together with individuals and small groups, being led by the Holy Spirit. Our motto - We work when we see God working. One young couple prayed to receive the Lord. Many lifes were touched by God's love and power. People are wanting to reach out to God - they need a little encouragement and direction. WE need to pray for Z to be blessed with a job. K needs to be totally free from alcohol. G needs to overcome fear of her husband to stand up for her faith. G wants all her 3 sons to know Jesus. She know that Jesus is their only hope against a wasted life and future. She confessed that she does not want her children to go through what she has gone through herself. S allowed us to pray for his diabetic condition which is causing his sight to get blurr. Another S has found freedom from the bottle and God has blessed her with a job. All these precious souls need encouragement, visitations and lots of prayer. It was exciting to see Z, G,K, & R attending the Prayer Meeting last night. God is working and we must be willing to work along with Him. What a great privilege to be partners together with the Creator, Deliverer and Great Physician.

Joy to the World

For the past two Sundays, about 50-60%% of the morning congregation stayed backfrom 1-2 pm to observe the solemn assembly - a time of fasting, worship, prayer and intercession for the church and the nations. I believe many Christians are also praying hard for the haze to go away. It is really great and wonderful how the wind blew and the rain came to clean the air after the paper has reported that it will only happpen in October. God acts differently after humankind had spoken and God's people humble themselves to fast & pray.
It's also wonderful to see many people slimming down, looking better with the fasting. They are happy with the physical result of fasting as well as healings & other breakthroughs. I pray many more will come and share their victories.
Sunday evening was such a bonus for the week for Nellie and myself. The Sunday before we conducted a funeral service for Steven. Steven has quite a life - accepted Jesus many years before, healed of Tubercolosis, backslidden into drugs and quite recently confessed his faith again in Jesus Christ. Steven's son was in prison for drug was not present at the service, but Steven's daughter, Wai Lean and her husband, Chua was very touched by the Holy Spirit. They told us their story on Sunday evening at their apartment.
Last Monday after the burial, Wai Lean got her medical report and it was very bad because of 10 years of medication for arthritis. The couple remembered the funeral message of God's unconditional love in our short span of life on earth. They suddenly realised that even if life on earth is shortened, with God's unconditional love, life is being lengthened when they learned to treasure one another with God's love. They decided to commit their lives to Jesus and Chua prayed for his wife. They took another test and the report came back on Friday with joyful result. God is so good. Chua told us that they committed their lives to Jesus not that she might be healed, but solely because of God's love for them and they wanted to love Him back as God has shown them what real love is. I think this is the first time in my ministry that someone wanted Jesus solely because of the realisation of His love. The sharing came with a lot of joyful tears. They are very eager to worship - wanting to attend both the Chinese and English service.
Such fantastic salvation story.

Solemn Assembly for FCC

FCC Calling for a Solemn Asembly. 2 Chron 20:
Usually a solemn assembly is summoned when there is a present or possible national crisis.
WE are calling for a solemn assembly to cover our nation and to bring renewal and breakthroughs into our individual lives, marriages, families, church, community and our nation. Young and old, children and adults, married or singles are rallied together to seek God’s face and favor through fasting and prayer. We are looking to Almighty God and our Lord Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit to be our primary source of all our living and doing. In conjunction with the National 40 days fasting and prayer we as a church " Turn to our Father in Heaven " to humble ourselves before Him in fasting and prayer every Sunday of August. After service we shall pray for about an hour and then we shall break fast together.
We have done many things in our own strength and ability, yet much of our doing has not brought forth fruits which have eternal validity. Many lives are bound in sins. Many marriages are not thriving as they should. Hearts of Christians and churches are not on fire for God. Very few Christians have the desire, discipline and delight to be engaged in prayer, fasting or meditating on God’s Word. They rather spend much time with their TVs, sports, cars, shopping etc. than the things of God. We are not living victoriously as Christians. We have a form of godliness but we do not experience any power of God working in and through our lives.
God’s promise to King Jehoshaphat in the face of great danger of invasion was " Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s " 2 Chron 20:15
God revealed to the King the enemies’ plan and instructed them on what to do.
" THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD’S "
By fasting and prayer and seeking His face, we are affirming our belief of the above truth.
"Lord, I choose to humble myself before you and acknowledge that I have been trying to live and do in my own strength instead of totally relying on You and your directions. Come and meet with me and as I humble myself to meet with You."
We see the end result of their fasting and prayer. Instead of death and defeat, they experience great victory and great rejoicing. 2 Chron 20:29-30. WE too can experience deliverance, victory and breakthroughs when we are willing to fast and pray.

Together again as a family.

The primary reason of going to SOL [ Station of Life, Lahad datu: a 3 weeks spiritual advance ] was really for a dear brother who recently came back to the Lord after a long wilderness detour. For almost 10 years he had been wondering and being absent from the family. He had loved Jesus before and I know that he wanted to follow Jesus again. The SOL was like a spiritual DRP - detoxification and rejuvenation program. So I made the arrangments to register, purchased the air-tickets and accompanied him to SOL for the goal of spiritual cleansing and renewal. I did it for him, but God was doing it all for me. I needed time for my own detox and rejuvenation spiritually. God did some simple, powerful and significant inplants in my life which I pray that would be incarnated and enfleshed in me.
After SOL, I told the brother to go home to his family [ in another state ] to live out his first duty as a Christian husband and father even though there are ministries that can and need to be done. I called that brother this morning to check. His wife sounded very happy. He has been seeking God daily and have been leading his family devotion. He is waiting on the Lord for the next direction. If he moves it will be together with his family. I do not think that family should be apart in the name of ministry. His heart is not in the money but in the ministry. I am so thankful that a family can be together again. The wife got her husband and the children have their daddy - a new one, of the heart. God is in the healing business. Halleluyah.
