Love changes everything.

In all our trials, He comforts us so that we can comfort others as they go through their trials.
In all our woundedness, He heals us so that we can bring that healing to others in their woundedness.
All that God does and continue to do in our life and for our life is not about me or us, but it is about His Kingdom. His plan is not primarily about our happiness but about His Kingdom being extablished on earth as it is in Heaven.

Are you still hurting as you journey towards the end of 2006? Can we allow God to use all the challenges, the struggles and the joys of life to bring us closer to Him and transform us to be more like Jesus?

Can we discover in the challenges of life the opportunites to learn more about God and His ways and learn to love Him more and subsequently to love others and ourselves better?

We love because He first loves us.

reasons for this season.

Last night I took Bill and his sister Angel, Raymond and Edmond and their sister Grace to Church of Praise Johor Baru. There was a Youth Christmas Service with ice-breaker, skits, songs and light refreshments. It was the first for all of them and they were excited to be there.
Since I got to know these boys a few weeks back, we have spent much time together at the AG Youth Alive Huge Camp in Malacca and visiting places in KL and now two days in JB. I do not have a strategy to "disicple" them since they are in JB and I am in KL, so I have introduced them to the JB pastor and church - praying that they will learn and experience life in a new community of believers.
I am thankful that their non-christian parents are very opened for them to be connected with Christians and the church. It is a joy for me to see the boys eager to be involved in the "church".
The time that i spent with them in real life was refreshing to me personally. There were times that I almost felt "like Jesus': going places with his disciples. I am asking myself: "How much has the days spent being with them impacted their future and destiny?" I will be going back to KL with Bill's family as they head towards Ipoh. Bill will be in charge of the 'Duck Rice Restaurent' for the next few days while his parents are away. The parents had good report about Bill since he came back from the Huge Camp - they told me that he is more gentle and patient with his siblings. I think I have extra reason to rejoice this Christmas.

Adious 2006

I am hitting 50 in the next few days. 50 - unlike 40 have not much significance..Ya?
But what a year it had been. Never had travelled so much, never had got to know so many wonderful friends in such a short time and built some genuine/authentic relationships and never laugh or cried so much.
So as I journeyed towards the end of 49 years of existence/living and the closing the year, I am very glad that I am excited to be alive as a human being. I am excited about life and the Lord of life - Jesus Christ my Saviour, my Lord, my Friend, my Healer..my JOY. I am excited about the next 50 years of my life on earth - Maranatha.

To all who have visited this blog - I hope to be more active in my postings and welcome your visit and input.
