Informations to transformation
Have you reflected how much change has happened in your life this year that made a difference in the Kingdom of God?
Have those changes advanced or retreat the cause of Jesus Christ to touch and transformed human lives? Have we brought anyone nearer to the kingdom of God? Have we walk with anyone into the Kingdom of God?
The church in general used to talked about evangelism in terms of witnessing by way of sharing the 4 spiritual laws and people saying the sinners’ prayer. But I think we have grown to see that evangelism is more than just sharing some organised informations about Jesus Christ and getting people to give a mental accent followed by a verbal confession of faith in Christ. Very often we see that those who actually "qualify" these steps never really gone on further with following Jesus. Why?
Do we ourself truly understand this decision we made to "accept’ Christ? How can we take someone to where we have never been? Does our respond to Jesus Christ includes "denying ourself"? Have we received Jesus as another "good thing" that will add to the quality of our living on earth? Is Jesus just one of the compartments in our busy life?
I am not even asking for a verbal response to all these questions. It is really not about what we say with our lips but it is really about what we say from the way we live our life. What does each of our daily living says about the "Lord" whom we have invited into our lives? In our living, is He really the Lord? In our use of our time, money and other "God-blessed" resources, who is really in charged? Whom do we consult?
Is having an ongoing dialogue with God a reality? Do we seek to know the whole counsel of God? Have we decreased and He increased in our lives more and more? Does our living reflect that He is more and more in control of our lives?
Our Theme: Transformation and Conquest. As He transformed us more, He conquers more through us, advancing the Kingdom of God. Are you allowing God to make changes in your life for the advancement of His Kingdom? Time, money and all your resources and talents: make them available for Him.
I believe that FCC is making a little step forward for the kingdom of God this October as we opened up our first mercy home. We are calling it RAPHA := HEALING. We HOPE TO SEE HEARTS TOUCHED AND LIVES BEING REBUILT FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.
We want to offer more than just the informations about Jesus. We want to offer Jesus in tangible forms: feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless. Let Thy Kingdom Come and let Thy Will be done.
